I’m really excited to share with you the UK cover of Hunger and Thirst, which will be published by Fig Tree, an imprint of Penguin, on 7th May next year. And I’m excited to know what you think of it!
What’s it about?
Hunger and Thirst is about Ursula, a famous and reclusive sculptor, who is looking back to 1987 when she was sixteen and worked in the post room of an Art School. She meets wild-child Sue, who dares her to do things, and when Ursula accepts the ultimate dare to kill someone, she is haunted – literally haunted – for the rest of her life.
Pre-order Now
Hunger and Thirst is available to pre-order from Waterstones now, or from your local independent book shop or online at Bookshop.org. By next May you will have probably forgotten that you pre-ordered it and it will be a lovely surprise when it drops through your letterbox. Pre-orders are also really helpful for authors because they indicate to book shops that the book is in demand and they will then order it in when it’s published, and of course books in shops means that more people will see it. So, thank you if you do pre-order.
See the US and Canadian Covers
The US cover was revealed a couple of months ago, and you can take a look at it here. Sorry to be a tease, but you can’t see the Canadian cover yet. I’ve been sent it and it’s amazing but you’ll have to wait for that. However it is available to pre-order in the US.
Read and review on Netgalley
For book reviewers and bloggers, Hunger and Thirst is now available to request on NetGalley.

It’s a gorgeous cover, and you’re right, I pre-ordered it from Waterstones a while ago, so it will be a lovely surprise when it arrives next May!
Thanks so much, Hemmie. I’m really pleased you like it, and thanks for pre-ordering!
