‘This is boring already,’ Jack said.

‘Yeah,’ Miranda said. ‘We should go back to the park.’

‘My Dad has a sofa in his lock-up. It’ll be great.’ Christopher knew he sounded too keen.

Romsey / Hampshire friends! On 21st May, I’ll be @waterstonesromsey talking about my sixth novel, Hunger and Thirst and I’d love it if you could join me. Delirious by @damienwilkins103 is already published in New Zealand where it won the country’s Book Prize, and will be published in the UK in August 2026. Finished copies of the US edition of Hunger and Thirst have arrived at my house. Thank you so much @tin_house. They are gorgeous. On 27th May I’ll be @forumbookscorbridge (The Bound, Whitley Bay) chatting with @sarahdavywrites about my sixth novel, Hunger and Thirst. And I’d love it if you could join us. On 11th May I’ll be @blackwelloxford chatting with @lucyatkinswriter about my sixth novel, Hunger and Thirst. And I’d love it if you could join us. Well this is exciting…Director @boris.kunz.offiziell on a location tour in Lower Bavaria with @baps_outdoor_adventures for the film of Our Endless Numbered Days. Finished copies of Hunger and Thirst have arrived at my house and they are gorgeous. Have a watch with the video to see what’s under the cover, to find out who I’ve dedicated this book to and why, and who has a cameo appearance in the novel. Elizabeth Strout’s new novel will be published the same day as my sixth: 7th May, and the publisher was kind enough to send me a proof. As part of the tour for Hunger and Thirst, I’ll be doing two events in London.
